On April 23 took place the kick off meeting regarding the new challenge, in the framework of Erasmus+ project KA2 “Real Challenges for Vocational Education Students“. At the meeting participated the students and the professors from all the partners involved. Moreover, the owner of the family-run business “Restaurante Casa Paivense“, Teresa Sousa took part to the meeting. For this challenge, the stakeholders will prepare a business plan for this restaurant. Proandi will coordinate this challenge.
The main objective of the new business plan is to help the restaurant in adapting to the current needs of the market. “Restaurante Casa Paivense” has more than 40 years of activity. Now, it aims to innovate in the restaurant and cooking area. At the same time, the priority, for the restaurant, is to maintain the quality to which its customers have become accustomed. The students will work to propose many innovations. Among others, some of those innovations will be the creation of social networks and an official website of the restaurant. Another task for the students will be the elaboration of new vegan menus.
Proandi’s trainees from Kitchen and Pastry Technician group will be guided by the trainer Luís Santos. Teresa Sousa will represent the the staff of Casa Paivense. Teresa Sousa will mentor and work together with the students of the partnership.
Proandi thanks all of the partners for participating and commitment in Friday’s meeting!
Yesterday (23th March 2021) Conecta Software had a meeting with CIFP César Manrique students. The main point was to discuss about technical issues of RC4VETs challenge “Improving Tecnikea”.
Conecta Software explained to the students how to use the Trello application in the best way. Firstly, Conecta Software uses Odoo, but thay have had some security and technical issues with the application. For this reason, all of their accounts have been cancelled. The company creates a new Trello board and it includes all the tasks of “Improving Tecnikea” challenge. Moreover, all stakeholders of the project have been invited to use it.
The new board contains many cards. The students should complete the tasks of the challenges and then they should upload it to the associated card. Given the possibility to easily receive notifications from the application, Conecta Software suggest that any doubt or question have to be explained on the specific card on Trello (using naming@conectasoftware4).
All the users can assigned to a card by themselves, so they don’t have to wait to be assigned. For this reason, everyone have to: get an activity; then, ask to @conectasoftware4 and other students; finally, work on it.
Cristina Szell and Santiago Ortega represented the company provider of the challenge during the meeting. They are Conecta Software COO and Conecta Software Web Developer respectively. Both gave a detailed explanation of the activities to do to solve “Improving Tecnikea”. These activities are necessary to do in order to resolve this challenge. It will be the first challenge of the Erasmus+ project “Real Challanges for Vocational Educational Students”.
Six students and two teachers of CIFP César Manrique, two students and one instructor of DIEK Glyfada and other two students and one teacher of Poklicni Center Obala have participated in the meeting.
Students and teachers of Vocational Training Institutes have discussed every activity with Conecta Software staff. In addition to this, meeting participants have known the tools to use.
